Air New Zealand’s new Matchmaking Flight is the first in-flight dating experience.
The first flight will depart on October 14.
The experience will begin with a pre-flight cocktail party in Los Angeles at twentyone, a new bar in SKYCITY.
When they are in the air, 30,000 feet high, 100 single passengers will take part in speed dating and matchmaking games.
More events for singles will take place after passengers land in Auckland.
Before boarding the flight, passengers will have already posted their profiles on thematchmakingflight.com. So far, almost 700 singles have used Air New Zealand’s new social media website.
Jason Mesnick and his girlfriend Molly Malaney, who met on the reality TV show The Bachelor when it was filming in New Zealand, will be on board the flight.
Mesnick and Malaney will be offering their own dating tips.
The cost of the round trip is $780.
